My name is Rashid and I’m a Palestinian born in Damascus. I have lived 9 months in Sweden.
In Syria I lived an ordinary life. I studied and worked in a plastic factory. My family decided to leave the country because of the war. To create a future. As Palestinians we did’nt have a citizenship in Syria.

“I survived”

My name is Josef and I come from Damascus in Syria.
I was born in the Yarmuk refugee camp and studied in UNRWA schools in Syria. Then I studied Economics at Damascus University. As a youth, I was politically active about the Palestinian issue. I was imprisoned several times by the Syrian government because of my political activities. I traveled to Saudi Arabia for 4 years to work as an economist, and then I moved back to Syria. I got married and got 4 Children.
