My name is Bave and I am a kurd from Qamishli in Syria. My life was very good before the war. I went to school as usual and went out with my friends. Our life was much nicer than life in Europe. The war came and destroyed our whole life. It was a shock.

My name is Mohamad, Palestinian from the Yarmuk refugee in Damascus. We decided to leave Yarmuk when it became uncertain in the area, 90 percent of the Yarmouk population fled. I saw people die in front of me. My house was destroyed and my wife was injured and passed away two days later.

In Syria, I worked as a teacher for 27 years. We lived in a refugee camp in Damascus but we decided to move to another area. After some time it became insecure to stay there, so we decided to escape.
