Hello! I am Mayro and I come from Afghanistan, from the city of Herat. My childhood was very good and there was not any war. When the war was declared, I was 17 years old and I had two children. My life was getting worse due to the war. Twenty-two years have passed since I have lost my husband. I have seven children; five boys and two girls. My oldest daughter was 15 years old and my oldest son was 12 years old when their father passed away. Now my children are grow up and the war continues in Afghanistan. We are all humans! We led a normal life and we had many thoughts for the future. When I was in Afghanistan, I worked as an engineer.
In Afghanistan, the situation was not very good due to the war and we were very sad. Sometimes we had to go somewhere else and we wondered if we will go back or not. Maybe a bomb was dropped and that would cause us death. Maybe we wouldn’t be able to go back home. My siblings were married and later I was married too.
