I came to Sweden 1,5 years ago. I lived a stable life in Irak, exept for the last two years. I would have stayed in my country, but there were to many bombs and insecurity. I was persecuted by a group of people belonging to the government and the situation was getting worse.

I was employed in the government in Syria. I came to Denmark in 2016, with my two little girls because of family reunification. My husband came to Denmark in 2010.

I was the favorite of among all my siblings. We were seven children, and my father loved me very much. My parents are from Afrin but I was born in Aleppo. I studied at the institute of trade and commerce. Before I finished my education I found a job, working for the government. I was very happy with that job. I would like a job where I can use my education and use my skills

Tamman alkurdi is from Syria

I left Syria on april 22nd 2014 and arrived in Denmark on may 25th. In Syria I was a journalist on Damascus radio, where I was in charge of two programs. One of the programs had a main focus on social topics and was for young adults. I have also educated young adults in journalism.

There are SO many Danish people who helped us

I came to Denmark in 2014 with my younger brother who just turned 24. In Syria I worked as a hairdresser, and I had a salon of my own since I was 15 years old. Right now I am finishing an education to become a hairdresser by profession, and I have an intership at Sthur. In November 2018 I will become a hairdresser! I like to cook food, especially sweet things

I came to Denmark in 2015. I go to school twice a week but I am ill from a head injury I got in Iraq. I got married when I was 15 years old. Our family fled together to Turkey when ISIS came and took control of our town. We stayed there for a year. I can go to school in Denmark and have to live my life while waiting, but I cant focus on school

I was a cosmetologist and came to Denmark in 2014. Here in Denmark I just finished 9th grade. After Christmas vacation I will start 10th grade, and I also work at a local restaurant in town.
My life in Syria before the war was very good. I have two sons and a beautiful house. The last time I saw my children they were 5 and 8 years old. Now they are 8 and 11 years old. When the war started the whole area was destroyed by rockets, and I moved to my mothers house with my two boys.
