Before the war I was an employee at a post office. I lived with my wife and sons and a daughter, but as a Palestinian born in Syria and as such stateless life was never easy for me. Before the civil war broke out I worked as a tailor. I was happy with my wife and children and we had just bought an apartment in the city, where we lived when things got more complicated. And we decided that I should go alone to Turkey to work in order to save up some money for the family, so that we all could leave Syria. My work consisted of assembling different kinds of furniture, but the man who was my boss was a racist and he was always shouting a lot at me, and I only managed to stay there for 2 months before I went back again to Syria.
