I lost my country, I lost my friends, I lost everything

Before 2003, my country was a very beautiful country. But since then, people have been killing each other on the street. They fought each other over religion. This didn’t exist before.

On 6.8.2014 Isis came to Iraq. I lost my country, I lost my friends, I lost everything. I worked as an electrical engineer. I left school when I was twelve, so learning in Germany is very difficult for me. I think about the past a lot, but not like a 12-year-old. I’m 28, I’ve seen a lot.

I have been living in Germany for two years and six months. My wish is to work here again as an electrician, for that I have to learn the German language well.
