“We were walking for six nights”

Hello! I am Mohammed and I am 24 years old. I am Palestinian from Jaffa, but I was born in Damascus, Syria. My grandfather went as a Palestinian refugee in Syria and I grew up there. Now, because of the war, I left Syria. At first, I went to Lebanon and then to Iran by plane. I walked from Iran to Turkey and then from Turkey I came to Greece by car. We were walking for six nights and in the morning we were sleeping in the forest. I tried to fly to The Netherlands but the police caught me and I stayed from the 20th of November (2017) till the 7th of December (2017) in prison.
When I arrived here, in Skaramagas camp, I started working as a volunteer with “Drop in the ocean” on the 10th of January 2018.
